Editorial Policy

Civic Insight Journal covers government, public policy, and civic life with the goal of making these subjects more transparent and accessible. Our editorial standards are designed to serve that purpose.

We publish policy analysis, governance reporting, and public finance coverage based on official records, public data, legislative documents, and input from policy experts and public officials. Our editorial approach is nonpartisan — we analyze policy on its merits and outcomes, not through a political lens.

Our team includes writers with backgrounds in legislative analysis, government auditing, and policy research. Staff content goes through editorial review for accuracy, balance, and clarity before publication.

We accept contributor pieces from policy professionals, researchers, government officials, and civic leaders. All submissions are reviewed to the same standard as staff-produced content. We do not publish advocacy pieces disguised as analysis, and we do not accept content that promotes a specific political candidate or party.

Factual errors are corrected as soon as they are identified. Corrections include a note at the top of the article explaining what was changed and when the correction was made.

Civic Insight Journal operates independently. Editorial decisions are not influenced by outside organizations, donors, or commercial interests.
